We were recently asked to help Channel 4 surprise a very deserving lady as part of their home makeover show "you deserve this house".

The young lady in question has type 1 diabetes and auto immune syndrome which has meant that she had to spend 3 years as an inpatient at Leeds General Infirmary. In addition to the help and support she has received from her family and friends,

she has received help from the Rays of Sunshine children's charity, which in turn inspired Alice to become a Special Ambassador for the charity and she has raised over £43,500 to help them to help other children.

We were delighted to be asked to provide and fit curtains, blinds & cushions for her bedroom & study.

Alice then sent us the following thank you:

Dear all,

I just want to say a huge thank you for your amazing help in my surprise makeover as part of You Deserve this House! I couldn't believe it when Amanda Lamb knocked on my door last Friday (9th March) and whisked me away on a surprise spa break!! Nor did i ever think i would come home to three amazing new rooms! After spending three years as an inpatient at the Leeds General Infirmary it was a much needed boost of luxury!!

My new bedroom is fit for a Princess and looks like a hotel room, i can't quite believe it. I absolutely love my curtains and blind - Holly (my hypo alert dog) and I are thoroughly enjoying sleeping in complete darkness, they are so well made so thank you! My study is absolutely amazing and i must say, i love my purple/pink blind - it is gorgeous and everyone has commented on how lovely it looks! I now have a space of luxury to work from whilst helping grant wishes of other seriously ill children and organising my upcoming Sunshine Ball.

So, once again i would like to say a very big thank you for all you have done and for making me one very very happy girl!! I can't believe it - I am the one that surprises children, not the other way round - I am one very lucky girl!
