Motorised Roman and Roller Blinds

Motorised Roman and roller blinds combine the appearance of made-to-measure window treatments with the convenience of effortless operation.

With the touch of a button, you can raise or lower your blinds without having to operate individual chains or cords. This is particularly useful for large windows, hard-to-reach blinds or rooms with several windows.

Depending on the system selected, battery-powered motors can avoid the need for new electrical wiring. Rechargeable options are also available.

At Vanilla Interiors, we can help you choose suitable fabrics, operating systems and finishing details to complement your room. We also provide professional measuring and fitting, ensuring your blinds are made to fit your windows.

Sona Motorised Blinds for Apex and Angled Windows

Apex windows, triangular glazing and unusual window shapes can be particularly challenging to cover with conventional blinds.

Vanilla Interiors are an official stockist of specialist Sona motorised blinds designed for angular windows. These systems provide a practical way to control light and privacy while complementing the architecture of the room.

Motorised operation makes them particularly convenient for tall or difficult-to-reach windows.

We can advise on the available options, arrange professional measuring and provide fitting throughout York, Harrogate, Leeds, Wetherby and surrounding areas.

Motorised Ceiling Blinds and Roof Glazing

Large roof windows, glazed ceilings and overhead windows can bring wonderful natural light into a room. However, controlling sunlight, glare and privacy can be difficult, particularly when the glazing is beyond easy reach.

Motorised ceiling blinds provide a practical solution, allowing you to adjust overhead blinds at the touch of a button.

These specialist systems can be particularly useful in extensions, garden rooms and properties with large areas of roof glazing.

At Vanilla Interiors, we supply and professionally fit motorised ceiling blinds, helping you choose a suitable system for your windows and the way you use your room.

Motorised Curtains and Electric Curtain Tracks

Motorised curtains offer a convenient and elegant way to open and close your curtains, particularly across large windows, patio doors and wide glazed areas.

Electric curtain tracks allow curtains to be operated at the touch of a button, removing the need to draw heavy or difficult-to-reach curtains by hand.

Depending on the system selected, options include remote-control operation, rechargeable motors and integration with compatible smart-home systems.

At Vanilla Interiors, we combine motorised curtain tracks with beautifully made curtains from our own Tadcaster workroom. We can advise on suitable fabrics, curtain headings and track systems, then arrange professional measuring and fitting.

Whether you’re looking for a single motorised curtain track or coordinated window treatments throughout your home, we’ll help you find a solution that suits your room.

Smart Controls and Home Automation

Motorised blinds and curtains can offer much more than simple remote-control operation.

Depending on the system selected, you can control your window treatments using a smartphone, programme opening and closing times, or integrate them with compatible smart-home technology.

Sona motorised blinds can integrate with home automation systems such as Lutron. They can also use the Somfy TaHoma hub, enabling compatible smart-home control through Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

A compatible hub is required for Alexa and Google Home integration with Sona blinds. These features are not available through the blinds alone.

At Vanilla Interiors, we can explain the available control options and help you choose a system suited to your requirements.
