The Finest Made To Measure Roman Blinds
Made to measure Roman blinds make an attractive alternative to traditional window coverings, being ideally suited to a living room environment as well as providing a contemporary look and feel to any bedroom or nursery.
Roman blinds are available in a host of stylish fabrics, with designs ranging from the dramatic statement to calmer more subtle designs and colours to complement your room décor.
Our custom made Roman blinds are all made on site at our Tadcaster showroom by our own seamstresses and are fully lined, with 100% cotton sateen or blackout lining, and interlined for that extra touch of luxury. Supplied complete with our Premier Headrail, which is a fully enclosed aluminium track system operated by a chain mechanism, fixing brackets and a choice of white, silver or gold chain. Additionally Roman blinds can now be supplied with a battery operated track and a remote control, providing for chainless/cordless operation. This is ideal for difficult to reach windows or to give a cleaner, more contemporary look. Operation can be battery only or battery with solar charge to prolong battery life. All of our Roman blinds are fully compliant with the child safety regulations
As with all of our bespoke soft furnishings, our made to measure Roman blinds are made from start to finish by the same seamstress in our Yorkshire workroom, perfectly pattern matched with the design centralised so that if you want more than one blind in a room they will all match beautifully, rather than just making the most economical use of fabric.
Roman Blinds:
- Use less fabric than curtains, so are the least expensive option, though because of this you could have a more expensive fabric which might be unattainable as curtains.
- Fit closer to the glass (if mounted in the recess) than curtains, so will block out more light which may be an advantage in bedrooms.
- Are especially popular in smaller rooms where large bulky curtains can overpower the room and make it look cluttered.
- Are recommended where a radiator is mounted under the window as they help channel that expensive heat away from the glass and back in to the room.
- Are more practical in kitchens and bathrooms than curtains.
Of course, curtains have their advantages too and many people opt for a combination of the two; Roman blinds with dress curtains to soften the window reveals.
