Ian Mankin fabrics

Ian Mankin has a long and distinguished history in British textile manufacturing, dating back to 1875. Based in Burnley, Lancashire, the company remains closely connected to its heritage, with more than 90% of its fabrics still woven at the historic Burnley mill, now owned by a member of the sixth generation of the family.

A commitment to 100% natural fibres is at the heart of the Ian Mankin collection. Using traditional Dobby and Jacquard weaving techniques, the mill works with quality materials including cotton, linen, viscose and wool, creating textiles that combine authentic craftsmanship with everyday practicality.

Ian Mankin is particularly renowned for its classic ticking fabrics, alongside an extensive selection of checks, wide stripes and floral patterns. These versatile designs have a distinctly British character and work beautifully across a range of interior styles, from relaxed country schemes and traditional homes to more contemporary spaces.

Durability is another key advantage of Ian Mankin fabrics. Designed for practical use as well as visual appeal, many of the hard-wearing textiles can be both machine washed and dry cleaned, making them an excellent choice for busy family homes, upholstery, curtains, blinds and other interior applications.

With its combination of British textile heritage, natural materials and enduring patterns, Ian Mankin continues to produce fabrics that are both functional and beautifully understated.
